Quality Schools
Over 4,000 students are educated in Richfield annually and these
pupils enjoy a long tradition of solid learning opportunities. In
addition to the two primary schools, one intermediate school, one middle
school, and one high school, residents benefit from an extensive
community educational system meeting the needs of preschoolers and
adults. The U.S. Department of Education has recognized Richfield Senior
High School as a National School of Excellence. Students are offered a
wide range of classes along with accelerated learning and honors
classes. Class sizes are kept smaller ensuring each student gets the
necessary attention and involvement needed to succeed both academically
and socially. There are two private schools for children in grades
Kindergarten through grade eight and one private school for high school
students all located within the city limits of Richfield.
Well Maintained Homes
Many homes in Richfield were built directly following World War II
and so many of them are smaller, ranch style homes. These homes have
been carefully maintained over the years and today this is what makes
Richfield a more affordable area. A two bedroom, two-bathroom ranch home
with over 1,100 square feet of living space would start at $182,000. A
home that is a bit larger with four bedrooms, and three bathrooms with
over 2,200 square feet of living space would be about $349,000. There
are also several options to choose from in the way of apartment rentals,
townhouses and condominiums.
An Eye to the Future
Richfield looks progressively toward a future full of economic
growth. The city has a reputation for constantly reinventing itself to
meet the needs of the community. Today those needs are being met with
newly constructed buildings with more efficient structures. Richfield
residents enjoy annual festivals and events such as the Home and Garden
Tour, the Fourth of July Celebration and Cattail Days. It is all this
and so much more that bring growth and energy to this vibrant community.
