Minneapolis Named Most 'Fun City'
Cranium Inc., the maker of mind-building games of fun, commissioned
"Best Places to Live" expert Bert Sperling to rate cities
where you can have the most fun.. Minneapolis was #1.
Minneapolis is a community with something for everyone in the
family to enjoy. Even the dogs have fun in Minneapolis," said
Sperling, noting that there are at least 15 dog parks in the greater
Minneapolis area.
Four Seasons of Fun
Minnesota is an outdoor paradise. The average temperatures are as
follows: Springs 56 degrees, Summer 80 degrees, Fall 69 degrees, Winter
27 degrees. The warmest month is July, with normal high temperatures of
84 degrees, and the coolest month is January, with a normal high of 21
degrees.
Land of 10,000 Lakes
Water sports abound on over 950 lakes in the Minneapolis area.
Residents enjoy sailing, fishing, boating, waterskiing, and various
watercraft. The City of Minneapolis park system was recently
named best in the country by the National Park and Recreation
Association, having 22 lakes within the city itself.

The Minneapolis area also has offer 500 parks,
53 camping areas, 40 marinas, 30 downhill ski areas, 25 cross country
ski areas with over 800 miles of trails, over 100 golf courses, over 400
tennis courts, 37 riding stables in addition to auto racing, biking, ice
skating, racquet clubs, skydiving, polo and horse activities.

Minnesota is the #1 golf state based on per capita participation, and
the only state to have hosted all thirteen USGA Championships.
