Welcome to Hopkins!

Hopkins, "The Raspberry Capital," is an older, close-knit community.

Hopkins maintains the friendly atmosphere of a small town despite its proximity to downtown Minneapolis.

Located approximately seven miles from downtown Minneapolis, Hopkins is a friendly community that offers a range of housing options from luxurious newer homes, smaller older residences, and a new condominium development.

Marketplace Lofts

Enjoy loft style living and shopping in the heart of historic downtown Hopkins. Condo units range from 830 to 1600 square feet.

High-Quality Hopkins Schools

The Hopkins School District (270) is first-rate. You will be pleased with the education at Hopkins Schools from the awesome ECFE Program at Harley Hopkins Center to its seven elementary schools, two junior high schools, and excellent Hopkins High School.

  • Additionally, the Hopkins School District is a partner and major tenant in a multi-disciplinary community arts facility--the Hopkins Center for the Arts in downtown Hopkins.

  • Through its participation in the West Metro Education Program, Hopkins School District 270 offers two magnet school opportunities.

  • The Interdistrict Downtown School is an intercultural magnet school, and the Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Resource (FAIR) School is a fine arts magnet school.

The Blake School -- an an independent, pre-kindergarten through grade 12 school

Recreational Opportunities Abound

Hopkins offers 18 parks that are fully maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department of Hopkins.

  • Overpass Skate Park offers children a chance to improve their skateboarding moves.

  • Shady Oak Beach is a highly populated beach during the summer time on those scorching hot days with lifeguards on duty during the open times of the beach.

  • Many of the parks offer athletic fields (baseball/softball, football, soccer), picnic areas, and restrooms.
